Evolution Aqua Pond Bombs

The Evolution Aqua Pond Bombs are an incredibly simple and yet highly effective way of boosting the efficiency of any new or existing filtration system through the use of beneficial bacteria and enzymes. They can be thrown directly into the pond or into the chamber of filters such as the Evolution Aqua Nexus+ where they will slowly break down over time and increase the efficiency of the biological filtration.

The blend of bacteria and enzymes begin to work immediately upon entering the water, cleaning up organic waste and breaking down harmful ammonia and nitrite. This helps to keep the chemistry of the pond in balance and reduces the amount of toxic substances that can build up in the water, creating a healthy environment for fish to thrive as well as crystal clear water.

As the bacteria contained within the gel ball is aerobic, it requires adequate oxygen levels within the water to work properly. As such, we recommend that there is sufficient water movement or aeration present within the pond, which can be achieved either through water features and watercourses, or through the use of an aerator such as the Evolution Aqua Airtech air pumps.

Each Pond Bomb is effective for treating 20,000 litres of water and cannot be overdosed, so for large ponds simply increase the number of Pond Bombs used. As the gel is made up of only bacteria and enzymes, it is perfectly safe for fish stocks as well as wildlife such as frogs, newts and mammals.
