Evolution Aqua Cetus Pre-filter Sieves

Multi-award winning U.K. based manufacturer Evolution Aqua have almost two decades of experience in designing and creating specialist pond filtration systems, in which time they have become one of the most respected aquatic brands in the world.

The Evolution Aqua Cetus sieve is a bow screen pre-filter that utilises a 300 micron mesh to strain solids from the pond water before it can enter into any filter system. This has a great positive impact on both the efficiency of any biological filter in the system as well as increases the length of time before the filter requires a cleaning cycle. The screen itself is very easy to clean by simply spraying it with a hose pipe and flushing the solids through the waste outlet.

It is possible to install the pre-filter with both gravity-fed and pump-fed filtration systems thanks to the design of the intake that, in a gravity-fed system, will adjust to the water level of the pond to ensure adequate water flow to the pump. Supplied with the Cetus are a 4" to 1½” reducing rubber boot to be used on the inlet (pump-fed) or outlet (gravity-fed) of the pre-filter unit to connect to 1½” PVC pipe, as well as a 3" rubber elbow to allow 3" PVC pipe to be connected to the waste outlet.
