Evolution Aqua EazyPod System - grey

Multi-award winning U.K. based manufacturer Evolution Aqua have almost two decades of experience in designing and creating specialist pond filtration systems, in which time they have become one of the most respected aquatic brands in the world.

The EazyPod filters are the most compact filters within the Evolution Aqua Nexus range. Like the Nexus+ filters, they utilise biological media to provide both mechanical and biological filtration. This K1 micro media remains static in the internal stainless steel "Eazy" filter, creating a physical barrier that traps suspended dirt and algae as the unfiltered water moves from the outer chamber through the Eazy and towards the outlet. The media also develops a bio-film on its surface, made up of healthy bacteria that breaks down nitrates, nitrites and ammonia into less harmful substances.

Generally installed in a pump-fed setting, these filters are available in three variants: just the EazyPod filter (PNF4210), the EazyPod Air which includes an aerator pump kit (PNF4220) and the EazyPod Complete which contains both an air pump kit and a built in UV clarifier (PNF4230) that kills algae cells before they can reproduce and bloom. They can be gravity-fed if preferred, however this does require some modifications to the unit (please see the EazyPod & EazyPod Air datasheet for more info). Due to the presence of the built in UVC, the EazyPod Complete must be pump-fed.

The EazyPods come with built in aeration tubing, ready to be connected up to the air pump. The aerators agitate the media during the cleaning cycle, freeing the captured solids and sediment and allowing them to be drained to waste.
