Evolution Aqua Airtech Aerator System

Multi-award winning U.K. based manufacturer Evolution Aqua have almost two decades of experience in designing and creating specialist pond filtration systems, in which time they have become one of the most respected aquatic brands in the world.

Water aeration is often overlooked, despite it being absolutely vital to maintaining a healthy environment for wildlife in the pond. Aerators create turbulence and create bubbles of air in the water, which increases the levels of oxygen dissolved and suspended within the water. This dissolved oxygen is what allows fish to breathe and enables healthy aerobic bacteria to naturally break down organic matter into non-harmful compounds.

The Evolution Aqua Airtech air pump range provide this great aeration while remaining reliable and economical to run. The Airtech 70 is provided as a kit containing air stones, a manifold and tubing to allow aeration directly into the pond. The Airtech 95, 130 and 150 air pumps are more suited to providing aeration and turbulence within the Evolution Aqua Nexus filters. These filters come with pre-fitted tubing that just needs connecting up to an air pump using the elbow connector that is provided with these units.

These air pumps are weatherproof- not waterproof. They are IP44 rated and as such they should be placed in area where they cannot be flooded as this will damage the pump. They should always be installed above the filter to prevent water back siphoning into the unit.
