Oase AquaActiv PhosLess Algae Protection
The Oase AquaActiv PhosLess algae protection are comprised of water permeable bags filled with binding compounds, then housed within sturdy plastic housing tubes.
The binding compounds effectively remove large quantities of phosphates, one of the main nutrients that algae cells require to thrive, helping to prevent algae from taking over in the pond. The binding compounds also remove heavy metals that can be dissolved in the water such as copper, lead and zinc which, in a high enough concentration, can become harmful within the often rather fragile eco-system of our garden ponds.
These cartridges can be placed anywhere in the pond, providing there is adequate flow of water over the cartridges to ensure the highest efficiency of binding possible. They can even be placed inside various pond filters such as the Oase BioTec ScreenMatic or Oase ProfiClear system either inside the plastic housing or simply in bag form.
