These products are designed to be used in conjunction with the Oase ProfiClear Premium drum filters.
The Oase ProfiClear Premium moving bed modules provide a simple method of biological filtration. These modules contain Hel-X, a type of biomedia that utilises a large surface area to encourage the growth of good bacteria, aiding the removal of harmful toxins such as ammonium, ammonia, nitrite and nitrate. Once an aerator pump such as the Oase AquaOxy is connected to the integrated aerator within the module, turbulence is created. This churns the Hel-X and improves its efficiency as well as oxygenating the water, improving the overall water quality.
The Oase ProfiClear Premium individual module is mainly built to be used within the gravity fed system to house your pump and Bitron UVC clarifier. These modules also contain two baskets with a combined 8 litres of fill volume, which can be used to house the Oase PhosLess algae protection bags that chemically remove phosphates and heavy metals from the water.
In a pump fed system, the Oase ProfiClear Premium discharge kit can be used in place of the aforementioned individual module, as the water is returned to the pond using gravity. This discharge kit raises the exit point of the water from the filtration unit to the ideal height, ensuring a consistent water level and good flow rate is achieved. It attaches directly to the outlets on the moving bed module and leaves two DN110 outlets for the return pipe to be connected to.
