These products are designed to be used in conjunction with the Oase ProfiClear Premium XL EGC drum filters.
The Oase ProfiClear Premium XL moving bed modules provide a simple method of biological filtration. These modules contain the PondPads, the new biomedia from Oase that have 6.25x the surface area per m³ compared to the older Hel-X 13. This massive surface area encourages the growth of good bacteria within the moving bed module, aiding the removal of harmful toxins such as ammonium, ammonia, nitrite and nitrate. Once an aerator pump such as an Oase AquaOxy is connected to the integrated aerator, turbulence is created. This churns the PondPads which improves their efficiency, as well as oxygenating the water, improving the overall water quality.
The Oase ProfiClear Premium XL discharge module (gravity fed) is designed to house the pump for returning the filtered water back to the pond, as well the new Bitron Premium UVC clarifiers where the final stage of filtration takes place.
Oase ProfiClear Premium XL discharge module (pump fed) contains the Oase ClearWave, a fixed bed filter designed to provide further biological filtration, again using bacteria to remove harmful toxins. These modules have a built in air-stone, allowing further aeration to be achieved by simply connecting the air-stone to an aerator pump.
