Quick Coupling Valves & Keys
Similar to waterpoint kits, these quick coupling valves are used to provide on-demand access to water around the garden, for example for temporary irrigation or sprinklers.
This kit consists of two parts; the quick coupling valve itself and the "key" that enables the water to flow.
With a 1" BSP male thread, the quick coupling valve is installed in the ground with only the green lid protruding. MDPE pipe can be used to supply the valve with water, which can be connected up using our range of Plasson push-fit or compressions MDPE fittings.
One side of the "key" is threaded with a ¾" BSP male thread, allowing a whole range of options for connecting to either hose pipe or LDPE pipe, allowing both temporary irrigation such as sprinklers or fixed irrigation such as drip pipe to be supplied with water. The other side is not threaded, allowing it to be pushed into the quick coupling valve, at which point the valve will open and allow water to flow through the key. Once the supply is no longer needed, simply remove the "key" from the valve and the water will stop.
