Gardena Automatic Water Distributors - 6 Outlets
The Gardena automatic water distributors are a unique yet simple solution for watering between 2 and 6 zones of irrigation. Designed to be used alongside the Gardena Master irrigation timer, these distributors work almost like a bank of solenoid valves in that their job is to divert water to the desired zones at different times, except they switch zones mechanically which means there is no electrical power input required.
The inlet to the distributor is connected with hose pipe and hose connectors directly to the aforementioned Master timer, while the outlets should be connected up to the individual zones that require watering, again through the use of hose pipe and hose connectors. Lines 1 and 2 of the water distributors must always be connected up for use, however the lines 3 to 6 can be capped off using the provided blank nuts if not required. On the inlet side of the distributor is a transparent plastic cover, underneath which is the switching panel that effectively allows the user to select which lines 3 through 6 are being used. If a line is not in use and the blank nut is placed on the outlet then the switch should be set to the "off" position for this line.
Once connected up to the Gardena Master irrigation timer, the timer can be programmed through the special "Water Distributor Automatic" mode, available as an option on the main menu of the timer unit. This programming phase allows the number of watering lines to be set, as well as each line's start time, run time, watering frequency, and sensor input.
The Gardena automatic water distributor can be wall or floor mounted using the detachable back plate if desired, although this is totally optional. Please note that this distributor is only compatible with the Gardena Master irrigation timer, as this timer unit is the only one that contains the required programming menu.
