Oase FiltoClear Pressurised Filter Sets

Updated in 2022, the new Oase FiltoClear pressurised filters make use of several design changes that increase reliability, performance and usability. They utilise multiple sets of sponges that filter out particles of varying sizes, before the water is passed over the internal quartz sleeve that houses the UVC lamp. This UVC lamp emits ultra-violet light that kills harmful pathogens and algae cells that are left suspended in the water that are too fine to be filtered out by the sponges.

The FiltoClear Sets come with the recommended Oase AquaMax pump for each filter unit, however the FiltoClear range is available without an included pump if preferred. Pressurised filters can be easily incorporated into the water supply for a watercourse, waterfall, stream or any water feature. They can be located above or below the water level and can be buried almost completely for discreet installation.

The improvements made in the new design include:

• Increased power UVC lamps with higher output for extra UV filtration.
• Redesigned cleaning handle that requires very little force to compress the sponges during the cleaning cycle.
• Brand new sponge housing that compresses each individual sponge at the same time during the cleaning cycle, vastly improving usability and efficiency.
• The filter and pump can now continue to run when the ballast unit is removed for regular servicing/changing of the UV lamp.
• Metal clamp ring with a much more ergonomic lever function that is both easier to use and is more secure under pressure. At first the clamp will have a small amount of give and will not fully tighten, however once the FiltoClear is pressurised by the pump it will create tension on the clamp, pulling it tight.
• Redesigned and simplified waste valve for a more efficient cleaning process.
• Provided clear hose tails with a blue flow indicating o-ring that can be used to easily estimate the current flow through the filter based on the angle of the indicator on the o-ring. This is a great way to easily tell when the FiltoClear is backed up and is in need of a cleaning cycle.
